Loch Lomond Original Single Malt

Loch Lomond Original is an exceptionally smooth, full-bodied and easy drinking single malt scotch whisky.

Matured in our finest oak casks, Loch Lomond original showcases a distinctive character with creamy malty notes and a hint of peat.

Single Malt Original

The nose opens with herbs and floral flavours that are surrounded by a wonderfully subtle smoky aroma.

The peated is earthy, with lots of grass and heather notes coming out of it. It is deep yet not overwhelming.

Underneath the peat is a delicate sweetness of burnt caramel and toasted wood.

The palette has a more malted note to it, with lots of cereal grains coming through. There is a warmth to this malted flavour, partly added to from the smoke.

There is also a hint of sweet nuts such as hazelnuts that add a lovely smooth texture to the whole thing.

The finish is strong, with the sweetness coming through as thick, dark caramel and treacle. The grains of the malt go perfectly with this flavour.

Loch Lomond 12 Year Old Whisky (70cl) & 2x Miniatures (5cl)

The nose is brimming with apple and pear, giving it a lovely sharpness. This is complemented by the zesty citrus peel that also makes an appearance.

These flavours go perfectly together and are not subtle at all. They pop out, with lots of taste and invitation to try more.

On the palette the tang of the fruit is given a sounding board from a deep biscuity note that is rich with malt and grain flavours. This is the perfect offset to the sharpness of the fruit.

There is also a lovely hint of sweet white sugar coming through, with a slightly warming note to it. This ties in well with a subtle hint of peat smoke that wafts in towards the finish.

And on the finish itself, the peat smoke becomes fully realised, with lots of warmth and softness. It wraps itself around the other flavours and ties them together well.

Loch Lomond Open Special Edition

The Open Special Edition of 2021 has been created in partnership with Colin Montgomerie, Scottish Professional Golfer and Loch Lomond Whiskies ambassador. 

Matured in three types of American oak casks, before a partial finish in Virgin American Oak, the 2021 Open Special Edition delivers an approachable single malt with underlying fruit character and a gentle hint of peat smoke. 

Non chill-filtered, bottled at 46% and presented in a carton bearing Colin Montgomerie's signature.

Single Malt 18 Year Scotch

Nose: Old oak furniture and tobacco, supported by sweeter notes of honey'd cereal.

Palate: Nutty brown bread with a thin layer of blackcurrant jam. Slight smokiness along the way.

Finish: Lingering peat - not too strong, but easily noticeable.

Loch Lomond The Open Course Edition 2022 Single Malt uses a combination of whisky from our unique our Straight Neck Stills and more traditional Swan Neck Stills. A rare expression that has notes of stewed apple, pear and black cherry with vanilla and dark chocolate, a warming ginger spice and wood smoke finish. This 22 year old whisky was distilled just before the turn of the millennium, aged in American Oak Casks, before being finished in the finest Haut-Médoc Claret Barriques, which have been carefully maintained by our skilled coopers, then bottled at 48.2% cask strength. Expertly crafted to honour this historic milestone for The Open, it’s a whisky that equals this significant moment in golf history and all the Open Championships that have gone before.

Loch Lomond Open Course Collection 2022

The Open Course Collection 2022 is crafted to hero all of the courses, from the 1st ever at Prestwick in 1860 throughout to the 150th in the home of golf, St Andrews. This 22 year old single malt is aged in American Oak casks and finished in the finest Haut-Medoc Claret Barriques.
